US Converting, Inc. ( US Converting ) provides flexible packaging solutions to customers in wholesome and snack food, pet products, medical devices, sporting goods and industrial products throughout the Midwest and Western US.
Client Objective
US Converting had successfully grown its business, and additional capacity enabled the Company to compete with large laminating companies in the high-end graphics industry. Ownership wanted to explore sale options.
Results
White Oak Group conducted a robust sale process and exposed the Company to more than seventy-five strategic participants and equity sponsors with related platform businesses. The Company received nine written indications and conducted diligence with four groups. Ultimately White Oak Group structured a transaction which combined US Converting's business with a complimentary platform, ensuring the participation of the Company's management group and the retention of employees. Transaction value achieved was significantly above prevailing market multiples. White Oak Group acted as exclusive financial advisor to US Converting, Inc.
