CASE STUDIES

Business

Atlantic Press, Inc., based in Chicago, provides high-speed four-color insert printing, creative, fulfillment and distribution services to retailers in grocery, hardware and furniture. The Company has been family owned since 1926, when it began as a community newspaper printer and publisher.

Client Objective

Atlantic Press faced a challenging environment for free standing inserts characterized by decreased print volumes and excess capacity. The Company’s incumbent lender declined to renew its senior facility.

Results

White Oak Group was engaged as financial advisor to assist the Company in developing a restructuring approach which would insure the Company operate with positive earnings and identify replacement financing. Working closely with the Company, White Oak Group presided over the consolidation of two operating facilities into its Bedford Park location and reduced operating expenses. With the successful implementation of this restructuring, White Oak Group advised the Company in reviewing its senior debt needs with a range of senior capital providers. The resulting senior facility refinanced the incumbent lender at par and provides the necessary liquidity to support operations and fund the Company’s growth.
